Shortcuts and Anachronisms

I've often remarked on how each group (in business, science, social or whatever) has their own language and use of initials relatively exclusive to their community. E-mail has it's own (IMHO in my humble opinion, :) or :o) or *grin* , etc.) and I was puzzling a bit over KS in a message to the WINDOW-FOR-DUMMIES list. Finally dawned on me that it is Kind Soul. I asked for any suggestions or sites available and my inquiries brought forth a number of good sites and the urls follow:

Further research shows that there are so many places on the web where this information is already available that my pitiful contribution may be wasted. I have, however, developed this page and will leave it here for the time being. I may find a better use for it in the future and will change it at that time.
