Holly's Homes and Gardens

These pages were to collect and share the beauty of the gardens I have developed over the years. It will include pictures of our homes while under construction, including our Yorktown Heights, New York condominium, the house in Mountain View Acres in Rochester, Vermont, our Marietta, Georgia home and our Georgia home at Fairfield Plantation in Villa Rica Georgia.

In 2003 I put the house up for sale and as part of my effort I developed some pages to showcase the house. They are called "House for Sale" and I developed them as an addition to my realtor's page to give a more thorough picture of my house. It was successful and helped to show the actual buyers that they were getting a lot for their money. A lot less money than I was hoping to realize.

After selling my house I moved to Normal, Illinois and have bought a new home here. Unfortunately, I had to use all the proceeds from my Georgia house to buy one almost half the size. But I really like the house, it's perfect for me. Soon after the purchase I realized I had no space for my plants so I decided to build a sun room. Unfortunately, my house is what is called on a "zero lot line" which means there was a variance issued to put these houses on such small lots and the minimum to the back line was 35 feet which is exactly what I had. I had to secure another variance and, in spite of negative support from my builder and the county staff, I got my variance and had a 12 by 14 foot room installed. An album of the project in progress is included in this garden section. I'm sure I'll have gardens here soon and will include them as well.

I am also including a page devoted to my newly discovered cousin, Anna. She has the privilege of gardening in upstate New York against gorgeous mountain views. These are Anna's Gardens

This is just a beginning and it will take time to get things organized. Hopefully my experience with my genealogy pages will prove valuable in this new venture.
