Preparation
Now we're ready so let's begin. Step 1 Open a new image 500x500 transparent. Floodfill with your background color(light). Open a new raster layer and floodfill with your foreground color(dark). File/Save As with your final file name. Remember to save often. Step 2 Layers/New Mask Layer/From Image Select the Chrysanthemum mask and apply Layers/Merge/Merge Group Effects/3D/Drop Shadow ![]() Effects/3D/Inner Bevel
Step 3 Add New Raster Layer Change foreground color to a darker shade of the same color Floodfill Layers/New Mask Layer/From Image Select the diagonal lace mask and click on invert. Layers/Merge/Merge Group Repeat the drop shadow and inner bevel as before. It should look something like this.
Step 4 Layers/Merge/Merge Visible Image/Canvas Size/ ![]() Highlight the bottom layer Return the foreground color to the original. If you have any trouble, just select the color from this layer. Floodfill Step 5 Highlight the bottom layer Selections/Select All Effects/Textures/Texture/ select the stone pavement ![]() Step 6 Restore your tube. Resize it if necessary. Copy/Paste as a New Layer. Depending on the size and qualities of your tube, move it around or resize it further. Mine was the right size to fill from top to bottom Effects/3D/Drop Shadow using the same settings except change the V and H to 4. Repeat with V and H at -4. Step 7 At this point you might want to crop the image a bit. Resize to 500 on the longest side. Add any copyright and watermark each on a new layer. Save/Export it as a jpeg file. I decided after all was done to merge visible and Effects/3D/Buttonize to give it more of a finished look. And you're finished. Here is another sample I did to test the tutorial. |
