Week Two

I gained so much from the beginning of this lesson. I understand things so much better this year and this information was tremendous. I downloaded the tubes and did some experimenting with the veggies tube.

Following are some of the steps for the layer lesson. I happened to get the orange flower so that made a difference in my background selection. I did, however, use the rainbow gradient as well.

I think the last two tags qualify me for the extra credit. I prepared an image with 14 layers. Two are text and two are the drop shadow for each. The frame was on it's own layer and this is something I hadn't realized until now. It opened up lots of possibilities. What I did with this one was to select the frame and then flood fill the selection to a color that I picked up from the picture. After I had added the text to that tag, I decided I wanted to do something different with the tag so I closed the text and frame layers. I wanted to put a border around the tag because I had moved the frame earlier and it covered some of the picture I wanted to have show. So I increased the canvas, opened a new raster layer, sent it to the bottom and flood filled it with another compatible color. The colors for the "What A Talent" text came from colors in the rainbow gradient.
