Explore New Worlds with Paint Shop Pro 8 or 9
Week Four |
Once again there were so many things that went right past me last year when I took this course for the first time. The whole "changing the properties" would have saved me so much time if I'd understood it then. Following are the things I produced for this lesson.
I arranged them somewhat out of order so that I could pair a couple of things. The first image is the manipulation of the preset shapes by moving the corners and sides sometimes alone and sometimes holding the shift key or control key. The second image is an example of using the property adjustment for different layers in an image. This, as I said earlier, was worth the whole course. |

These images are the first ones we changed the properties after drawing the shape. The first I changed the colors and increased the stroke size. I chose a plaid variant. In the second I changed the line style and the stroke size. With the plaid it came out very different. |

Next we made some buttons and added text. I kind of got ahead of myself and made them into tubes before we got to the end of the section. I went back and did them over so that they are individual images. So, I have both now. |

My Medal | Here is my medal and I like the way it came out. I did a lot of manipulating in the property window and adjusting the size of the letters that way as well. Great learning exercise. |
And here is my lesson and extra credit all rolled into one. My Fun Fellow is made entirely of vectors and the tubes offered except I cheated with his hair. He needed some flowing locks so I used the paint brush. So much fun and I feel so much more comfortable with vectors now. Still a lot more to learn but guess I'll get that in Reach for the Stars. |
